Read the complete offer term
The current Med+ offer lists $25 for the first month, then $74 monthly on a 12-month plan or $84 on a six-month plan. GLP-1 medication is separate. We use the 12-month recurring figure with the commitment visible, rather than presenting it as a flexible month-to-month fee. Our arithmetic puts that first 12-month membership term at $839 before medication and other applicable charges: $25 plus eleven payments of $74.
Make sure you are comparing the clinical program
WeightWatchers offers several programs, and its plans page distinguishes clinical options from other memberships. A price attached to a general weight-management membership should not be substituted for Med+. Our recommendation is to record the exact plan name before comparing prices. If you already pay for another WeightWatchers product, ask how moving into clinical care affects that subscription, whether anything overlaps, and which payment will remain active after the change.
Budget for a prescription separately
The clinical program describes insurance assistance and says GLP-1 medication is excluded from the membership fee. That means the insurer’s answer can materially change the complete budget. Do not assume a successful consultation produces an affordable prescription. We would ask for the medication payment route, any copay, and the next step if coverage is denied. A membership can be commercially attractive while the resulting prescription is still outside a reader’s budget.
Check what early cancellation actually changes
The Clinic agreement says long-term membership fees remain payable through the commitment period, subject to its exceptions. It also says medication availability is not guaranteed by payment and generally does not create a refund entitlement. This makes the term a meaningful purchase condition. Request your exact commitment end date and renewal terms in writing. Do not rely on deleting an app or stopping use of the service to end the contractual payment obligation.
Our view on who should shortlist it
The program is most interesting to compare when you intend to use its behavioral support as well as clinical access. We would weigh that expected use against the duration of the commitment, not simply divide a headline total into months. Someone still deciding on a care format may prefer to compare shorter commitments first. We have not enrolled, tested appointments, or verified a personal outcome, and brand familiarity alone does not establish the right fit for your needs.
