Weight care within a wider clinical conversation
Midi focuses on women’s midlife health, including menopause and perimenopause. That makes it a different shortlist choice from a service organized primarily around selling a GLP-1 package. If changes in weight accompany other concerns, the broader appointment may be valuable. It does not mean every symptom has the same cause or that medication will be prescribed. Bring your health history and goals so the clinician can decide which questions need evaluation.
Budget appointments separately
Midi lists a thirty-minute initial self-pay visit at $250 and fifteen-minute returning visits at $150. Those are visit charges, not monthly medication prices. One initial appointment plus two returning appointments would total $550 in self-pay visit fees before prescriptions or other charges. That is a simple budgeting example, not a recommended schedule; your clinician determines appropriate follow-up. Ask how many visits are expected and whether additional concerns require a separate appointment.
Insurance requires more than a logo
The pricing page describes participation with major insurance plans, while noting that coverage and patient cost sharing depend on the specific plan. Confirm the clinician, visit type, network status and deductible before relying on a covered label. Medication coverage is a second decision. An insurer may pay toward an appointment without covering the chosen prescription, and a pharmacy estimate may change after benefits are checked. Keep a separate line for each expense. See our prior-authorization guide for the questions to resolve before enrolling.
Medication has its own price and formulation
Midi’s weight-management page lists compounded treatment from $164 for a four-week supply, with the figure depending on medication, format and dose; shipping and supplies are included in that medication price. It also describes branded prescriptions sent to a pharmacy of choice and priced separately. Do not combine the lowest medication figure with an assumed insurance copay to create a universal total. The actual prescription and visit coverage have to be established first. See our branded versus compounded guide for the questions to resolve before enrolling.
Cancellation applies to the appointment
Midi’s help article asks patients to change or cancel a visit through the portal at least twenty-four hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. The article does not establish the amount of that fee or the refund terms of a pharmacy order. Ask those questions separately. Moving an appointment does not necessarily stop a prescription that has already been processed, and declining another visit does not reverse care already delivered.
What to confirm before choosing Midi
The weight-management page describes targeted labs and follow-up to review progress and adjust care. Clarify which labs are recommended, where they are performed and how their cost is handled. Also identify the dispensing pharmacy and the medication-specific availability for your state; broad service coverage does not mean every formulation is available everywhere. Midi’s strongest distinction is the broader women’s-health setting. Compare it on that fit and the complete visit-plus-medication budget rather than on a medication headline alone.
Before you sign up
- Is my particular plan in network for this clinician?
- What medication and lab charges are separate?
- How frequently will follow-up visits be needed?
Use the answers to compare the exact offer with another provider. A service review cannot determine whether a medication is appropriate for you; that decision belongs with your clinician.
