Our take

Alloy is worth comparing for a midlife-focused care team. Budget for both the membership and the selected prescription, and check whether ending treatment requires more than one cancellation.

Reasons to look closer

  • Midlife and menopause-focused care
  • Separate medication and membership prices
  • Published branded-refill cancellation instructions

Keep in mind

The $99 membership is not the complete treatment price.

Why Alloy is a different kind of shortlist candidate

Alloy positions Weight Care around midlife and menopause, with physician messaging and ongoing treatment support. That focus is its clearest difference from a broad telehealth storefront. It may be relevant if you want a clinician to consider weight concerns in that wider context. The program’s positioning does not mean every patient needs hormonal treatment, nor does it establish better outcomes than another service. Ask what the consultation covers for your own priorities.

Add the membership and the prescription

Weight Care costs $99 monthly before medication. The separate compounded semaglutide page starts at $70 for a one-month supply, making $169 a simple combined starting illustration where that exact offer is available and appropriate. It is not a universal Alloy quote. A different product or dose can change the total, and a first-month promotion should not be extended to later months. Compare the ongoing sum and the amount due immediately, rather than either component on its own. Compare the complete commitment with our GLP-1 budget comparison tool.

Check the chosen medication’s geographic restrictions

The compounded semaglutide page lists exclusions for Alabama, Arkansas, California, Nevada, Louisiana, Mississippi and Washington, DC. That is a product-level restriction, not a statement about every Alloy service. A visitor in one of those locations should ask what, if anything, is available through a different pathway. Conversely, being outside the excluded locations does not guarantee approval. This is why we would select the medication and location before using the starting total in a budget.

Branded treatment may require two cancellation actions

Alloy’s weight-care help article says Wegovy and Zepbound customers must cancel the Alloy membership and separately contact the relevant medication service to stop refills. Canceling one charge may leave the other active. The article’s instructions differ for other products, so use the procedure for the actual prescription. Keep separate confirmations when separate organizations are involved. A prescription transfer is also not proof that a membership has ended or that future charges have been stopped.

What the recurring care fee is buying

The membership explanation describes ongoing provider access, follow-up, messaging and clinician-led treatment adjustments. Those services are the appropriate basis for evaluating the care fee; the number is not merely a shipping surcharge. Ask how routine follow-up occurs, how to reach the prescribing clinician and what happens if you stop medication but continue care. If another clinician already provides that support, compare the value of adding a second service before treating the advertised membership as necessary. For a practical enrollment checklist, read what to ask a GLP-1 provider.

Keep multiple subscriptions visible in one budget

If you already buy another Alloy service, list Weight Care as its own recurring expense rather than assuming it replaces an existing charge. Medication and care may also renew on different dates. A simple calendar with each charge, payment recipient and cancellation route makes the arrangement easier to compare with one bundled invoice. This is especially helpful when a first-month care discount makes the initial checkout lower than the ongoing cost you will need to sustain.

Our practical verdict on Alloy

Alloy deserves consideration when midlife-focused support is an important part of the service you want. It requires a little more administration than a single bundled bill, especially with externally fulfilled branded treatment. Build a shortlist using the same prescription pathway and duration, and leave any unconfirmed pharmacy charge open until you have a quote. A lower drug price cannot by itself tell you whether the combined service is less expensive, easier to cancel or better suited to your care preferences.

Before you sign up

  • What is my combined recurring medication and care cost?
  • Is this specific prescription available in my state?
  • Which memberships and pharmacy refills must I cancel separately?

Use the answers to compare the exact offer with another provider. A service review cannot determine whether a medication is appropriate for you; that decision belongs with your clinician.
